Stampin' D'Amour ATC Tutorial

Welcome to Stampin' D'Amour, today I have a tutorial on how to make this very sparkly and vintage inspired ATC. I used the lady image from the "French Vintage" clear stamp set and the birthday sentiment from "Fabulous Birthday" clear stamp set.

I started by choosing a cream colored patterned paper with a beautiful floral white pattern.

Next I trimmed the patterned paper to match the ATC card size 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and inked the edges with old paper distress ink.
Inked all the edges and adhered the patterned paper to the ATC piece.

Next, I trimmed a piece of double-sided adhesive to match the ATC size.

carefully peeled one side off the adhesive and adhered to the patterned paper.

Once completely adhered to the patterned paper I carefully peeled the top protective paper.

Using a bead or glitter tray, I completely covered the adhesive with micro fine glitter, making sure to shake off all excess glitter.
On a stamping mat (love it, makes a huge difference on your stamped images), I placed my glittered ATC and stamped the vintage lady image with black archival ink.
I then stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment using the same ink.
Once everything was stamped, I colored the lady image with a Marvy marker and the blender pen.
I took a piece of adhesive back metal and cut one edge with the scalloped edge scissors.
I adhered the metal to the edge of the ATC, making sure the scalloped edge was placed on the front of the image.
I love the finished look of the cooper metal all around the image, it also protects the edges so the adhesive will not start lifting from the patterned paper. Look at all that sparkle!!!
As a final touch I added some fibers and a button. I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial, thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

Size: 2 1/2" x 3/12"
Stamps: Stampin' D'Amour (Fabulous Birthday, French Vintage)
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black), Distress Ink (old paper)
Image Colored With: Marvy LePlum II (13 Ochre, 0 Blender Pen)
Paper: Cardstock, Anna Griffin
Other: Fibers, Crystal Glitter Ritz, Copper adhesive metal tape, PC mini scallop paper shapers, Be Creative double-sided adhesive sheet, button

Vintage School Chair: BEFORE & AFTER

Here's a cute little vintage school chair that I gave a little make-over with some new CHALK paint (not to be confused with chalkboard paint).

I like the color (Provence), which turned out to be a blue-green after it dried. Annie Sloan Chalk paint comes out very matte and flat and no need to primer the piece before painting, which is a total bonus!

I need to add a wax finish and then this cute little number
will find a temporary home in my booth.

After a HUGE sale that the Brass Armadillo had the previous weekend, I had to stop in Monday morning to see what sold and check out what my booth looked like...I didn't snap a photo of my booth when I got there, but let's just say that it looked like there was a party in there! ha ha!

I brought in MORE things and it's still not even full, but it's getting there...
I will be bringing in more goodies on Friday.

Booth 96 - BEFORE & AFTER

Here is another set of "Before & After" photos...

Above is the little booth at the local
Brass Armadillo antique Mall here in Phoenix.

All mine and waiting to be cute and full of vintage goodies!
The built-in picket fence shelves were a total bonus!

Here is the "after"...

Of course, this is what my booth looked like a couple of days ago, because I keep bringing in more stuff everyday and moving things around.

Although I'm not selling Scrapbook Papers in the booth (except for some retired-no-longer-available stuff), I hung up vintage-looking scrapbook papers on the lattice with clothes pins, which covers up the backside of the wood from my neighbor's booths.

People keep asking me where can they buy my stuff at and if I have a store someplace...and now I have a place to send my customers for the vintage goods.

Items are VERY reasonably priced, I have a lot of $1 Paper Crafting items on clearance, since it's stuff that is no longer available, but still prefect for projects.

I also have Vintage Ephemera, Shabby decor, vintage suitcases (I probably have more suitcases than the luggage carousel at the airport!), German Scrap, and more!

Thanks for stopping by "Booth 96"...

Vintage Card...

{Posting by Angelica Turner - BLOG}

I have been super busy working on the yearbook for my daughter's school so when I get a few minutes I use them to get my DT projects done. Today I have a card with a couple of vintage inspired images from Stampin' D'Amour, the dancing couple is from the "French Vintage" set and the sentiment is from the "Fabulous Birthday" set. My color combination is color challenge #23 from CR84FN and my layout is based one sketch #186 from Mojo Monday.

All the black lacy borders were cut with the border die from the Spellbinders' set "Parisian Accents". I used a Sizzix embossing folder to emboss the upper cream colored patterned paper.

The sentiment was stamped on glitter cardstock with black StazOn ink and cut with a circle die from Spellbinders. Also added some tiny adhesive pearls.
I stamped the image on Canson paper with Versafine black ink, inked the edges with tattered rose distress ink and applied some Stickles to the dress. Double matted with black cardstock and cream patterned paper and then added the border. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and hope you have a great weekend.

Size: 5 1/2" x 7 3/4"
Stamps: Stampin' D'Amour (Fabulous Birthday, French Vintage)
Inks: Versafine (Onyx Black), Distress Ink (tattered rose), StazOn (Jet Black)
Paper: Bazzill Cardstock, Canson "Fanboy" drawing paper, DCWV (Mariposa Matstack, glitter paper), Basic Grey (Infuse)
Other: Spellbinders (Standard Circles Large, Classic Scalloped Circles Large, Parisian Accents), ribbon, Stickles (Diamond), scalloped edge deco scissors, black twine, Recollections adhesive pearls, Sizzix embossing folder (Diamond & Damask), pop dots

Shabby End Table - Before & After

I wanted to share another "Before & After" furniture make-over with you. I just love seeing photos like these, whether it's furniture, redecorated rooms, or people, it's just fun!

Here's our featured piece this week, in the above photo.

Rescued from my favorite Goodwill store (where I know the names of at least 5 of the store employees now)...this little end table was a perfect candidate for a shabby make-over...

Ta-da! Antique white with much (artificial) distressing...

Very Shabby!

The drawer was then lined with vintage pink-striped wallpaper (that I bought from my Vintage Bliss buddy, Tricia a few years ago) and given a fabulous pink crystal knob.
Love it!

Here's a cute little foot stool that I forgot to take a "before" photo of, but here's the after photo of this little cutey with {Shabby} creme and pastel pink distressed layers. I'll show you Before & After photos of the Shabby blue table that it's sitting on top of next week.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Happy Birthday to You Card...

I have a card I made with a couple of stamps from Stampin' D'Amour. I used the birthday sentiment from the "Fabulous Birthday" clear stamp set and the vintage lady image is called "Fifi LaMarche". For the layout inspiration I used sketch #185 from Mojo Monday, loved it as soon as I saw it!!!

Used several different patterned paper designs and some light green cardstock, I inked every layer with antique linen distress ink. For the bow I used some seam binding I dyed a while back.

For the circles I used Spellbinders dies and slightly inked the edges with antique linen distress ink to give them a bit more of a vintage feel. I wanted a little sparkle on the flower and mini rose so I applied some iridescent medium, this is the first time I used this product, and wow does it add sparkle or what!!

This background patterned paper was just a cream colored, distressed paper with a hint of a grid on it, I stamped the vintage lady image with celadon pigment ink all over the paper, I then stamped the birthday sentiment with jet black archival ink, distressed the edges with distress ink and added some of the same color to several areas on the paper.

I punched a border from cardstock with the apron lace border punch and added some tiny coral adhesive pearls from Want2Scrap, also added some orange stickles to the big scalloped edge I cut from Graphic 45 patterned paper. Well, I hope you have enjoyed my card, have a great and creative day, and thank you for stopping by.

Size 7" x 6 1/4"
Stamps: Stampin' D'Amour (Fabulous Birthday, Fifi LaMarche)
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black), Distress Ink (antique linen), ColorBox Pigment Cat's Eye (Deep Green, Celadon)
Paper: Bazzill Cardstock, Wausau Paper, patterned paper, Graphic 45, daisyd's
Other: Spellbinders (Standard Circles Large, Classic Scalloped Circles Large, Fancy Tags), Prima Artful Collage Flower, Wild Orchid Crafts mini rose, Want2Scrap Coral adhesive pearls, Stickles (Orange Peel), Large scalloped deco scissors, Martha Stewart punch (Frond), Fiskars border punch (Apron Lace), Winsor & Newton Iridescent Medium, hand dyed seam binding, pop dots, Cuttlebug Machine.

Before & shabby table

Today, I wanted to share my recent yard sale find with you...this cute little table, which was screaming for a make-over. I don't know where I found time to stop at yard sales & paint furniture (hubby thought I went out to get bagels and wondered why I was gone for 3 hours...)

I love before & after photos, it's fun to see the transformation.
I think everything has potential...

I saved you from having to view a close-up of the bird droppings (euw!) and stickers on the table top. I cleaned and sanded it all off before giving this little darling a make-over.

Ta-da! A cute Shabby table!

I love the (artificially) distressed look!

I love Shabby! I never get tired of it. Of course, I had to tell hubby that it's supposed to look this way and DON'T PAINT it! He loves to walk around the house with his can of touch-up paint and this one is off limits! ;)

I couldn't resist adding this shabby applique! Love it! Glad I kept some for myself, I thought I had sold out of them all.

Next week, I'll share with you another "before" & "after" furniture make-over...
