FREE ViNTaGE DiGi Stamps...

Well, I have another new website, it's FREE Vintage Digi Stamps.

What is a Digi Stamp you might be wondering? It's like clipart, but it is a Digital stamp that you save on your computer and print whenever you need the image for a project. The images are created with the creative Stamper or Crafter in mind who like to color or embellish the image for various projects, like handmade cards, Artist Trading Cards, or Scrapbook projects.

Some nice things about Digi Stamps is that they don't take up your crafting storage space, no expensive ink pads to purchase, and you save lots of money from not having to buy stamps, because they can get quite expensive!

Check out the first set of Vintage Digital images at my new site - the images are FREE!

ART UNRAVELED - 2011

Art Unraveled 2011
Mixed Media ARt Event

Looks more like I'm staying at the hotel than selling goods at a show...

Did I bring enough merchandise? How will I make all of this fit onto three 8-foot tables?

Here is are my tables, right at the front of the show entrance.

Ta-da!
It's amazing how much stuff those old suitcases will hold and this is a view of just one table!

Here's a view of all the stuff on another table -
mostly Stamp' D'Amour stamps and stamping supplies.

Here's my friend, Tricia via Vintage Bliss. Her tables always look amazing!

Here is Shirley of the Artsy Fartsy Fairy.
Shirley always makes these amazing calenders and she also teaches classes at Mystic Paper.

It's starting to get a little busy! Lots of wonderful bargains and treasures to find!

Here are repeat customers, Ruth & Karen.
I recognized them because I took a photo of them last year shopping
my tables and posted it on my Blog.

Busy day! Look at all of the shoppers! Can't wait until Art Unraveled 2012!
It was so much fun!

ART UNRAVELED - Shopping Extravaganza Aug 6, 2011

This week, I have been getting items ready for the Shopping Extravaganza event at Art Unraveled this Saturday, Aug. 6th. I can't believe that a whole year has passed since I did the show last year. It was so much fun being a Vendor and a Shopper there.

Here are a few photos from the show last year...

You can see from the (dark) photo above how busy it gets when they open at 10am.

Here's a few photos of some of the other Vendors,
to give you an idea of the fantastic stuff you'll find there!

This was the Artist next to me last year, very talented!
(ugh! I forgot her name....)

Here are my two vendor tables from last year.
This year I have three tables and am in the MAIN Ballroom...I am bringing LOTS of stuff!

I will also have Stampin' D' Amour unmounted stamps available for very CHEAP,
to make way for newer images later this year.
Most of them are of Vintage Fashion ladies.

Art Unraveled has mixed media workshops all week long.

It is at the Embassy Suites:
4415 E Paradise Village Parkway S, Phoenix, AZ 85032

The Shopping Extravaganza is Saturday, 8/6: 10am-4pm

Don't miss this event, it's my favorite!
I always find so many great things here!

Be sure to visit my other BLOG for everyday shopping for Paper Arts stuff.

Booth 96 Before & After

"BEFORE"

Here's a photo of my booth from back in April ((BOOTH 96)) over at the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall in Phoenix. It had these cute little shelves already built right into it...just waiting for all sorts of merchandise. It was already painted shabby pastel blue...perfect!

This is what a carload full of stuff looks like...didn't make much of a dent.

"AFTER"

Here is BOOTH 96 today (well, 2-days ago)...and many, many trips later. Now this little booth is full of all sorts of Scrapbook, Paper Arts, Vintage Ephemera, and other little goodies.

I wanted to paint this brown little vintage dresser white or some sort of shabby blue, but it looks pretty good just being brown. It's a great place to display more merchandise in the meantime.

If you are ever in the Phoenix area and are in search of some Vintage and unique Scrapbook & Paper Arts stuff, then stop by BOOTH 96 at the Brass Armadillo in Phoenix...located just NW of I-17 & Cactus. It's a little Scrapbook Store inside a BIG Antique Mall. More merchandise gets added every few days...great prices too!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

SDA Happy Birthday Card

POSTING & CREATION by Angelica Turner

Today I have a fun birthday card full of bright happy colors, I used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the "Fabulous Birthday" clear stamp set from Stampin' D'Amour. The layout of the card is based on the sketch from VLV, July week 1, great sketch and lots of fun to work with. The paper is from an old collection by Making Memories called "Emery", I paired it with red cardstock. Used some white seam binding for the bow, the scalloped edge on the circle I created with a Martha Stewart border punch.
The little doily looking flowers I made with a border punch from EK Success called "Abstract Flower Chain", I adhered with a pop dot and added a button for the center. I also added some Stickles to the edges of all the patterned paper layers for a touch of sparkle.
Thank you so much for stoping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

Supplies:
Size: 6" x 6"
Stamps: Stampin' D'Amour (Fabulous Birthday)
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black)
Paper: Bazzill cardstock, white cardstock, Making Memories (Emery)
Other: Stickles (Diamond), Martha Stewart border punch (Vintage Floral), EK Success border punch (Abstract Flower Chain), buttons, white seam binding, pop dots

Stampin D Amour Vintage Style...

Creation & Posting by Angelica Turner

I have a card featuring a couple of images from Stampin' D'Amour and sketch #196 from Mojo Monday. The lady image is from the "French Vintage" set and the birthday sentiment is from the "Fabulous Birthday" set. For the background I used some paper from Basic Grey and embossed with the "Heritage" embossing folder from Cuttlebug, I lightly applied some walnut stain distress ink to the embossed areas to make them pop a bit more.
The lady image I stamped with black archival ink on cream colored cardstock and shaded with distress ink, I used a Sakura gelly roll pen to add some sparkle to the image. Also added some Prima flowers and punched leaves to coordinate with the colors on the punched strips of patterned paper and the frame on the stamped image.
Thank you so much for stoping by and hope you have a great day. Until next time.

Supplies:
Size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"
Stamps: Stampin' D'Amour (French Vintage, Fabulous Birthday)
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black), Distress Ink (walnut stain)
Paper: Bazzill cardstock, Basic Grey, Daisy D's
Other: Spellbinders (Fancy Tags), Cuttlebug Embossing folder (Heritage), Sakura Gelly Roll Pen (Clear Star), Martha Stewart Punch (Oak Leaf), Martha Stewart border punch (Lace), Punch Bunch (Rock Fern), Prima Flowers, adhesive rhinestones, pop dots
Challenges: Mojo Monday Sketch challenge #196

Booth 96 & Scary Mannequins...

Yesterday, I couldn't resist visiting a few antique shops...there's one in Scottsdale that seems more like a museum than an antique shop.

It has a lot of taxidermy animals, mannequins, and interesting collectible artifacts or "higher-end antiques"...just bizarre things.

Look at these wax heads from the Madame Tussaud's wax
museum of the Last Supper...very lifelike.

These figures were in the back of the store behind a bunch of picture frames...not something you'd normally see in an antique shop.

I have to admit that as much as I love wax museums, that I was a little creeped out by this display...yes, I know it's based off of Da Vinci's Last Supper, but....

Wouldn't you feel a tad scared being in this antique store all alone at night?

Here's a booth with antique telephones...not scary like the mannequins and various animal heads that adorn the shop. I think it's neat how much technology has evolved.

These telephones look like they have faces, don't ya think?

Here's a current photo of my booth..."Booth 96" at the Brass Armadillo in Phoenix.

The Brass Armadillo is one of the largest antique malls in the Phoenix area. I think it's about 40,000 sq ft and could take hours to wander through.

I just added a ton of Vintage-style scrapbook papers (12 sheets for $3), ephemera, vintage Bingo Cards, Shabby furniture, and other paperie curiosities. Great prices!

It's almost like a little mini Scrapbook store!
Be sure to visit if you are in the Phoenix area.

Stampin' D'Amour ATC Tutorial

Welcome to Stampin' D'Amour, today I have a tutorial on how to make this very sparkly and vintage inspired ATC. I used the lady image from the "French Vintage" clear stamp set and the birthday sentiment from "Fabulous Birthday" clear stamp set.

I started by choosing a cream colored patterned paper with a beautiful floral white pattern.

Next I trimmed the patterned paper to match the ATC card size 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" and inked the edges with old paper distress ink.
Inked all the edges and adhered the patterned paper to the ATC piece.

Next, I trimmed a piece of double-sided adhesive to match the ATC size.

I

carefully peeled one side off the adhesive and adhered to the patterned paper.

Once completely adhered to the patterned paper I carefully peeled the top protective paper.

Using a bead or glitter tray, I completely covered the adhesive with micro fine glitter, making sure to shake off all excess glitter.
On a stamping mat (love it, makes a huge difference on your stamped images), I placed my glittered ATC and stamped the vintage lady image with black archival ink.
I then stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment using the same ink.
Once everything was stamped, I colored the lady image with a Marvy marker and the blender pen.
I took a piece of adhesive back metal and cut one edge with the scalloped edge scissors.
I adhered the metal to the edge of the ATC, making sure the scalloped edge was placed on the front of the image.
I love the finished look of the cooper metal all around the image, it also protects the edges so the adhesive will not start lifting from the patterned paper. Look at all that sparkle!!!
As a final touch I added some fibers and a button. I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial, thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

Supplies:
Size: 2 1/2" x 3/12"
Stamps: Stampin' D'Amour (Fabulous Birthday, French Vintage)
Inks: Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black), Distress Ink (old paper)
Image Colored With: Marvy LePlum II (13 Ochre, 0 Blender Pen)
Paper: Cardstock, Anna Griffin
Other: Fibers, Crystal Glitter Ritz, Copper adhesive metal tape, PC mini scallop paper shapers, Be Creative double-sided adhesive sheet, button
